NEFTA Film festival to start from Feb 14

A film festival is being organized by Nepal Film Technician Association from February 14, 2013. In the sixth edition of the festival the movies released from 2068 Baisakh to 2069 Ashad end will be featured.

After the movies are screened in the festival, the association will present awards to the best movies in various categories. Nepal Film Technician Association has been awarding different awards to movies made in digital technology and celluloid technology.

In a press meet organized in kathamndu the head of Film Development Board (FDB) Pappu, Film Producer Association chief Raj Kumar Rai, and actor Rajesh Hamal were present and they had offered their best wishes to the film festival organizers.

Out of a total of 64 films released from 2068 Baisakh to 2069 Ashad end, only 41 films will participate in the festival.

Many award ceremonies are being held by various organizations and many of them are questioned on their credibility to offer awards. The organizers have told that the award ceremony will be fair and effective. NEFTA awards awards in 31 different categories in addition to a Jury award and a Popular award. The award ceremony will be held on the second week of the first month of Nepali new year 2070.
